Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Dear Emily,
Get out! I say that in the kindest way possible. If you don't make an appearance by Thursday then they'll induce me. I really don't want to do that again. I'm ready for you to be here so  can use all of your cute stuff. It's all here just waiting for you. So try your hardest to be born some time in the next few days. Okay? Okay.

Dear Dad,
I think we'd make great Amazing Race partners. We might not win on account of your bad knees and my terrible ability to do anything athletic but we would have a really fun time!

Dear Chipmunks and Squirrels,
You are super cute to watch in the yard. You are driving my dog crazy though and in turn she is driving me crazy. She sees you out there running your fuzzy butts off all over the yard and she wants to chase you. This results in lots of jumping at the window, tons of crying, and pacing all over the house looking for anyone who might LET HER OUT TO GET YOU. If you could keep your appearances to a minimum that would be great. I'm getting tired of yelling at her to get off the glass and cleaning doggy nose smudges off of that glass.

Dear Weather,
Pick hot or cold. That is all.

Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Dear Noah,
I'm so excited that you FINALLY lost your first tooth. I'm more excited that you pulled it out yourself...loose teeth creep me out. Now you sound so cute when you talk!

Dear Keurig,
Making weird sounds and only filling my cup up 1/4 of the way is unacceptable. Time to google what the problem could be....

Dear Sleep,
I miss you =(  It's nearly impossible to fall asleep at night. Then I wake up at 3am wide awake but also exhausted. If I manage to drag myself out of bed before 9 I need a good 2-3 hour nap in the after noon. MOST morning I don't even get out of bed until 10... Poor Noah. At least he comes to tell me he's awake and that he'll just get a poptart to eat. I'm glad he's pretty independent!

Dear baby Emily,
Please stop hurting me. I understand that your strong movements mean your healthy and happy BUT it's making me extremely uncomfortable and we still have 7 weeks to go. I really feel like there is no more room for you to grow in there...although realistically I know you will find room. Let's try to keep those sharp jabs to a minimum..k? =)

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday!!!!

Dear Friday....

Dear Family,
I apologize for my overuse of emoticons. Something happens when I get bored and I feel the need to play with emoticons and send you funny? rude? awkward? text messages. For instance I sent this to my husband last night. He stayed up much much later than me to watch hockey...yawn. I couldn't sleep, got bored, and this happened:

Dear Noah,
Flower beds are not for excavating. Light digging to plant a new flower? Yes. Digging to fill buckets with dirt? No. I need to make you an awesome garden/dig zone of your own like this one made by Kristy from The Everyday.

Dear Rain,
Please do not ruin our Saturday. We have two soccer games to go to and yummy steaks for the grill. Go Away!

Dear Tummy Sleeping,
I miss you! Sleeping on my belly is my favorite but now it feels like I'm sleeping on top of a small cantaloupe. See you in  a few months tummy sleep....

I hope you all have a great weekend.... EVEN if it rains or dare I say snows where you are.

Enjoy!

Friday's Letters

Dear Sun,
I'm SO glad to finally see you! Thank you for you continuing efforts to melt the yuck that is the snow. Can you work a little faster and maybe dry out the back yard too? Bella is getting really muddy when she plays out there and it's driving me insane.

Dear Bella,
If you want to go outside and get messy...fine. BUT don't cry to go out, come in 20 minutes later, have me clean you off, and then cry to go out again. It's not a fun cycle of events for me.

Dear Oatmeal,
Ew! Why do I always think that maybe NOW I like you? Then I buy you, prepare you, and do NOT like you. Oh well.

Spring Break Sleep,
I thought that with it being spring break I would be sleeping in late late late. This is not the case. As soon as I first wake up in the morning there is no going back to sleep. My pregnant body starts screaming at me that it wants food and it wants it now! So of course after I get up and eat I'm no longer sleepy enough to crawl back in bed.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! We have lots of plans so we'll be nice and busy. Hopefully the weather will stay nice for the weekend. There is supposed to be a cold front late Sunday night with snow showers. Obviously I'm not thrilled about it!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Friday's Letters

Linking up with Ashley from Adventures of Newlyweds.

Dear Louisiana,
HERE I COME! I can't wait to be back in your glorious state filled with my family and friends. I know our time there will go by way too quickly but don't worry I plan to come back this summer for a much longer stay!

Dear Winter,
You are definitely here...
The snow outside is so pretty. Noah had a blast playing in it yesterday. I could do without the insane wind though. I can't wait for school to be over today so I can play outside with Noah and Bella. Bella actually seems to love the snow. She likes to run around in it and looks like shes smiling. She doesn't like when the wind blows though. As soon as that freezing wind starts she's at the back door ready to go inside.

Dear Fellow Drivers,
I apologize in advance for my driving. Yes we get ice on the roads in Louisiana but I'm sure that the icy roads here will be in a whole different league of danger. Therefore that lady driving 5 miles an hour, gripping the steering wheel, and praying loudly is probably me.

Enjoy these quick pics I took this morning. Happy Friday everyone!

Friday's Letters

Dear USPS,
I am disappointed in the substitute mailman you sent yesterday...
Yesterday something a little disturbing happened. I was sitting in the living room and saw a mail truck pull in my driveway, heard a thud, and then saw the truck pull out of the driveway. I thought hmm that was odd. Maybe they left a package? I opened the front door and no package. Oh but what is that...way over on the opposite side of the garage? It's a package. So the mailman, thankfully this is NOT our regular mail person, pulled in the driveway and did not even bother to bring it to my door. He didn't even exit the truck. He just dumped it out the door of the truck. RUDE! If I hadn't looked outside and seen the package I would have run it over when I backed the car out.
It could have been worse:

Dear Bella,
I am so glad you are back from boot camp! That was a long two weeks! It was definitely worth it though. I'm glad we can actually walk by another dog now without the barking and growling. Success!

Dear Noah,
I'm glad you share my enthusiasm for all things Christmas. I had a blast last night driving home and looking at all the Christmas lights with you. =)

Dear Amazing Friend of Mine,
I am so excited for you! Moving back to Germany! I am jealous. We had such an awesome time there together and I know you'll love it all over again. However it will probably not be as fun because I won't be there ;)

Dear Chuck E Cheese,
Please be kind. Noah's birthday party is tomorrow and I'm hoping to hold onto some of my sanity. Tons of screaming hyped up children all confined in one building is not my idea of fun.
*Side note- I worked at Chuck E Cheese in high school....for 2 1/2 YEARS! I'm not sure how I managed that.

Have A Great Weekend!

Friday's Letters

Dear Bella,
This is your last weekend with us before you leave for doggie boot camp. I will miss you =(

Dear Brother,
I'm so glad you called me for shopping advice. I really miss hanging out with you.

Dear Husband,
You are super smart! Thanks for using your smarts to fix my computer! Love you!

Dear Winter Book Challenge Book,
I hate you. You are awful and every time I pick you up I want to bang my head against the wall. I fear that page by page I am losing brain cells a little at a time. I thought maybe you would get better...but no. If it weren't for the challenge I would just stop reading you...

Dear New Car,
I love love love you. Your back up camera is my favorite. I think that if it wasn't there I would have some major issues pulling out of a parking space. Also you are blue. Several people have said you are purple. Your paperwork clearly says blue but now I that they have said, "Oh what a pretty purple!" all I see is purple lol. It's okay I like purple.

Dear Honda,
I think your timing here was a little calculated. Is it a coincidence that your windshield cracked only a week after we brought the new car home? I think not. Acting out is not a good way to attract attention. We still love you just as much. Promise!

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
Here is a funny puppy!

Friday's Letters

Photobucket
Dear Noah,
I teared up a little when you got out of the car this morning. You give me a kiss on the cheek every day before you get out of the car, open the door, smile and say, "Have a good day. I love you. Bye." You are growing up so fast and I just want to keep you little forever.  You will always be my little boy no matter how old you are.

Dear WinterJam 2013!!!
Please Please Please announce your line up and tour dates. I'm getting very impatient. I want to see if it's even realistic for me to plan a trip home to go with my brother... The sooner you release this very important information the sooner I can try to figure everything else out.

Dear Bella,
I'm sorry I laughed so much when you ran in to the screen door last night. It really was very funny when you came racing across the deck and then flattened against the screen door. You looked up at me with your confused puppy eyes and what did I do? I laughed...a little too much.  Sorry.

Dear Self,
This having a baby thing is turning out to be harder than I thought it would be. Everything happened so quickly when I got pregnant with Noah. I'm older now but not THAT much older. Every month that goes by with no baby, no baby, and no baby I start to worry more. Hopefully something will happen soon...

Friday's Letters

Linking up this Friday with Ashley from Adventures of Newlyweds

Dear people who make the park policies,
I have been to 4 parks this week. Only to find that I can not bring my dog with me.  I can understand restricting them from the play ground and water areas.  But to keep them out of the whole park is a little ridiculous. I just want to be able to walk her somewhere other than in our neighborhood.  I found a park 30 minutes away that allows dogs...but I don't want to drive half an hour to go walk her and then drive half an hour to get home..
Guess I'll keep looking.

Dear Thanksgiving,
Hurry up! I'm ready to make the trip to my grandparent's house in Missouri. It has been along time since I've spent time there and I miss them a lot.  My dad, future step-mom, sister, and maybe my brother will all be there as well. YIPPEE!

Dear Self,
Go Exercise!
It's just so hard....  I hate working out and love to eat. Do you see my dilemma? I think if I had a trainer who would come to my house and scream at me to get out of bed and get moving I could do it. I don't think that will be happening any time soon though...

Dear Noah,
Thank you for being so good in the morning this year. My sanity really needed it. It's nice to not have to scream like a drill sergeant for you to eat and get dressed on time.
Now let's work on bedtime....
If your bed time is at 8:00 then you should go to bed at 8:00, not secretly play with your toys in the dark.  When I come to check on you and question why you are out of bed, "I forgot to stay in bed." is not a very good excuse.

Dear Self,
If you refill the Pur water filter thingy PLEASE make sure that the knob to dispense the water has not been left down.

I heard a drip drip drip. I though I hope that isn't the kitchen sink. It wasn't. There was water everywhere! I
ll never make that mistake again...

So glad it's Friday!!!!!

Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Linking up again with Ashley from Adventures of Newlyweds

Dear Brother,
I am so proud of you. It's hard for me to think of you as an adult...but here you are all grown up. I wish I could have been there to help you move in to your first apartment. I wish I could have been there when you graduated from the fire academy. I wish I could be there to just goof around and sing Kari Jobe and to talk and laugh. These are the things I miss the most since I've moved away. You've grown in to such a responsible and honorable young man. You might be all grown up now but you will always be my baby brother. I miss you.

Dear washer and dryer,
I wish you weren't in the basement. You know I'm lazy. All that up and down...it's not for me. I know I know...we have hookups on the second floor, but you are a tad to wide to fit up in that closet with the shelving. I could remove the shelving but then where would all the blankets and Noah's overabundance of sometimes played with toys go? Also I am a chicken and do not go in the basement at night, which limits my laundry time to the daylight hours only. I'm still uncertain as to why we bought you anyway. Yes, you do look really pretty cool with all your light up blinky buttons and magical music. But all I do is dump the laundry in and press the start button. We probably should have bought a simple washer with on, off, hot, and cold...saved a few bucks.

Dear Bella,
Sometimes you are insanely smart and others well not so much. The living room is dark at night (see letter below) making great reflections in the glass...almost mirror like. That lady you are barking at is me...a reflection of me. That dog is you. Please chill out and stop the barking.

Dear self,
Please buy some sort of lighting for the living room. The small lamp in the corner isn't cutting it. We don't have a ceiling light in the living room and I hate it. I don't like to sit in the dark....perhaps next payday?

Dear Noah,
It is going to be freezing at your soccer game Saturday! Don't worry I have a mission today to find you black pants and a long sleeve shirt to wear under your uniform. Me and your father will be bundled up like crazy drinking hot hot hot chocolate and cheering you on. I know you aren't really enjoying soccer as much as I hoped you would but you still can't just quit. You don't have to play next season but you do have to finish this one....Sorry.

Have a happy Friday!

Friday's Letters

Linking up with Ashley again from Adventures of Newlyweds

Dear Lady in the Car Line (EVERY DAY!)
This is the car line. Perhaps you do not understand it's purpose? Let me explain. It's really quite easy...
Simply pull your car in to the car line. Move your car forwards as other cars vacate the line. Pause as your child gets in...and here's the key...listen closely! Drive away! It is not necessary for you to get out and fix your daughters hair everyday. Where could you possibly be going everyday that it is so important that she have the perfect ponytail? Maybe the paparazzi are following you and you can't risk a lopsided pony pic on the way home? Can't it wait until later? Please remedy this situation. I have a kid to pick up too.

Dear Self,
Get your butt in gear and decorate that master bedroom! We have the paint, we just haven't painted it yet. We bought the new bedroom set a month ago and still haven't purchased sheets to fit the new king size bed. I know what I want it all to look like. I just need to get started!

Dear Brother-in-law,
You and your wife have a beautiful new baby boy. He is adorable, tiny, and cute! I wish so much that I could hold him!

Dear Laundry,
I hate you, hate you, hate you. I do not like to wash you. I do not like to fold you. I do not like to put you away. That is all.

Dear Car,
I promise to clean you out and give you a proper bath soon. Yes, I know driving in the rain does not count. I just can't ever seem to get motivated to clean out the car. There are library books in there, some of Noah's clothes from changing before the baseball game, water bottles, junk mail, a little of everything.  On the bright side...at least it doesn't smell.

SOOOO glad it's the weekend!!! Wooohooo!!!

Friday's Letters

Today I am linking up with Ashley from Adventures of Newlyweds For Friday's Letters

Photobucket

Dear Bella (our dog),
Please stop running in the mud and tracking it inside JUST after I mop the floors. It is not cute and not appreciated.
Dear Christmas,
Hurry up and get here! I'm ready to make the long drive to Louisiana!
Dear Hair,
Why don't you ever do what I want you to do? We need a therapy session because we are so not getting along.
Dear Illinois,
I am trying to like/maybe love you. I'm enjoying your nice weather and all the fun places you have for us to go. I am concerned that once it starts to turn cold the little bits of like I do have will turn to dislike as I freeze my butt off outside. Be patient with me and don't get to cold...please.
Dear Rug Doctor Carpet Cleaner,
You suck! The money we spent to rent you was a waste and so was my time. We only have carpet on our stairs and in the hallway. The people who lived here must have had several dogs because it smells like dogs. We rented you and you didn't make much of a change. I've used carpet cleaners before and you were by far the worst.
Dear person driving on the opposite side of the street,
Thank you for also stopping to let Mr. Squirrel cross the street.  I would have been ever so sad if he made it across my side only to meet a tragic death crossing yours.
