We are M-O-V-I-N-G!!!!

I've waited a long time to write this post. It's no secret that I haven't loved Illinois. I've tried. It just never happened. When the opportunity came for my husband to take a job in Louisiana we jumped on it. We get to go home!!! The hardest part about moving here has been missing my family. Now we'll be back in a place that I can see them every single day if I want to.  I am thrilled that Noah and Emily will be able to see their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins on a regular basis. I will never ever move away again. I'm done with moving! It's so much work!

My mom is currently here with me. Joey has already gone to Louisiana to start working. The movers couldn't come until almost the end of June so it's kind of craziness here right now. I'm so glad my mom is here to help me and also to make that long drive with me. There are boxes EVERYWHERE. We are almost done packing. We are packing everything ourselves but a moving company will load a truck and drive it all down for us. That at least takes some of the stress away but man is it expensive!

I'm praying all day everyday that our house sells quickly. We can't buy a new one until we sell this one. Please let it sell soon!!!!

The only drawback to the move that I see is that I am going back to work. Trust me there will be a super long post all about this later. I feel guilty, excited, and sad all at the same time about it.

I'll probably be absent from the blog for a while, at least until things settle down.

Now I must go grab some tape and start boxing more things up! Louisiana here we come!!!

A Photo an Hour

Lulu & Sweet Pea

I love this link up idea. You choose a day and take one photo each hour that day. It gives you a little peek into other bloggers daily lives. So here is how my day went....

7:30 am - Wake up to the cute little face! I'm really surprised she slept this late. She's had a nasty habit lately of waking up at 6 or 6:30. I'm not a fan of waking up before 7.

8:30 am - Noah says goodbye to Emily and leaves for school. I used to drive him but now it's just easier if he rides the bus. He really likes riding the bus now anyway.

9:30 am - Heating my coffee up...again. At what point do you give up on drinking the coffee and just pour it out?

10:30 am - Leaving for the car dealership. They called and offered us a free oil change! Yes please.

11:30 am - Waiting for the oil change to be finished. Emily is always great to take places as long as she's not sleepy. She gets really grouchy when she's tired. She is afraid of new people if they come to close but she will gladly smile and "talk" to them if they keep their distance. She was the star of the waiting room. She fake coughed a lot, everyone would laugh, and she'd do it again.

12:30 pm - All that waiting made me hungry! I had to grab Burger King on the way home.

1:30 pm - Working on my book list for the Summer 2014 Book Challenge.

2:30 pm - Dishes. Because some has to do it.

3:30 pm - Noah gets home from school. He did NOT want me to take his picture... so now I have a nice closed eyes photo.

4:30 pm - Library! Time to stock up on books for the challenge!

5:30 pm - Dinner time. A quick easy skillet meal.

6:30 pm - A little playtime before bed. Emily is usually in bed by 7.

7:30 pm - Shaun T time. I've been doing T25 lately. I love it and hate it. I'm having to modify a lot though because my knees are awful. I swear I have the knees of an 80 year old! - This is to make up for the Burger King.... =)

8:30 pm - Bella is afraid. Anytime it is really windy or thundering she has to be smushed up against someone.

9:30 pm - Relax and read. I love this book. I've read it a bunch of times and it still makes me laugh. It's called Bright Lights. Big Ass. by Jen Lancaster. She is hilarious.

10:30 pm - Getting Emily's bottle ready for when she wakes up in the middle of the night. Off to bed! It's sad but 10:30 really is a late bedtime for me now.

Too early for winter!

Feels like 12...? Cozy huh?

On Monday it went from this:

To this:

In just over an hour... I was not impressed. It's November! This is FALL! =(

Noah was thrilled though. I sent him to school yesterday and today in his snow gear.

We haven't even started cutting back all the dead plants. We started doing that around this time last year so I figured we had plenty of time to get it done. I'm sure the snow will melt BUT our weather will stay C-O-L-D. The idea of doing work in the yard while freezing my butt of is not appealing.  Oh well.

Winter stay away! You're not welcome here =)

Lately

I REALLY miss my blog =(
Someday I know I'll have time to get back to it on a more regular basis...

I feel a little like I'm living in a fog, kind of just moving through the day...and night.. Emily is a difficult baby. She is VERY fussy and cries a lot. I'm really hoping this passes quickly. When she is happy it's wonderful. When she's not it can be overwhelming. She makes the funniest faces. She's made a few baby cooing noises. It'll be fun when she starts making more sounds and really smiling =)

Noah had his last soccer game of the season. I'm VERY happy that it's over for now. It is way too cold to sit outside watching a soccer game right now. I am NOT ready for winter but it is certainly on it's way.

Emily hates baths. Really she hates being messed with in general lol. She is a very sensitive baby. After she takes her bath her hair is all curly and crazy. I still can't believe she has so much of it!

Emily LOVES her daddy. Like a LOT. When I can't calm her down he can...right away usually. I guess what they say is true...Mommy's boys and Daddy's girls lol.

My sister in law came to visit us over the weekend. Noah was very sad when she left. It was so nice to see her!

Emily is already growing so much! She weighed 9 lbs. at her one month checkup. I'm already putting away some of her clothes...some of it not even worn yet!

I've been feeling incredibly guilty lately about Noah =(
I don't have a lot of time to spend with him now and that makes me sad. I barely have time to go through his backpack and check that his homework was done the right way. I know it'll get better soon. I just wish it was better now. He made a comment last night that he needs more attention. That really broke my heart. I need to try to spend time with JUST him.

So for the most part I am tired. I am REALLY tired but I am happy. When Emily is having a crying fit I try to remind myself that babies aren't babies forever and someday I'll wish she was little again. It's already been 5 weeks! The time has gone by so fast....

Hopefully I'll be back soon. Hopefully I'll have more to blog about than being tired lol. If only I had time to read...
=)

Blogtember - Life Lately- Where is this baby?

Today's prompt is "life lately".........

Well all I've been doing lately is waiting for this baby to get here. My due date is 5 days away! Our bags have been packed and re-packed. The house has been cleaned and cleaned and cleaned because I can't stop cleaning. All of her baby gear is assembled and ready to be used. Still we wait.

We talked a little bit about whether or not we would induce if we got to my due date or PLEASE NO if I go over my due date. I have really mixed feelings about it. I'm so done being pregnant. I'd love to just do an induction and have it be over with. However I keep thinking back to when I was induced with Noah. My body reacted really quickly to the Pitocin. Faster than even the doctors expected. There was no slow building of contractions for me. Just all of a sudden blinding pain. They were so strong so immediate that Noah didn't have time to adjust to them either. His heart rate dropped a little every time. That left me stuck in the bed, being monitored, with an uncomfortable oxygen mask. It was scary. It was far from what I expected, as most births are.

So for now we're going to wait and if we get to the point where induction is unavoidable we'll talk more about what our options are.

Until then...we just wait and wait and wait =)

Lately...

So here's what has been happening around our house lately....

THIS happened!

Joey sent me a text one morning saying that someone ran into the back of the car. Poor car =(
It's been at the auto shop for a while now. They say we should have it back be September. It looks pretty bad so I'm sure it wasn't easy to fix. Joey started having back and neck pain so he had to go see a doctor. NOW he has to go twice a week to a chiropractor. I'm just glad the other guy had insurance because I'm sure fixing the damage is going to be costly. I'm also glad the Noah wasn't in the car AND that I wasn't in the car. That would have been an immediate trip to the ER for me and the baby. Hopefully we'll have it back soon...maybe they'll wash it too? =)

This mess...

Became THIS...

It took a lot of time, sweat, frustration, complaining, and work to get it done. It was a nightmare. I worked on it a little bit everyday and now finally it's all cleaned up. Maintaining the yard here has been a pain in my you know what. There are just SO MANY plants and flowers...and weeds. I think it's a little comical that I've ALMOST got everything finished and soon it will be fall and all of it will need trimming. Oh well.... =)

Noah had a big moment!

He FINALLY lost a tooth. He'll be 8 in December and all of his friends have been going toothless for a while now. He's been pretty sad about it. At his lats dentist visit the dentist told us that his adult teeth just hadn't come down far enough yet to let those baby teeth know it's time to move on out. We just had to wait. Then he came downstairs one day and proudly showed me his wiggly tooth as I tried my hardest not to be grossed out. Wiggly teeth creep me out! I did a good job though and kept a smile on my face. I asked him if he wanted me to pull it while secretly hoping he would say no lol. He did say no. Thank you Noah! About two days later he pulled it himself.
Now the tough part comes. Noah's mouth is very small. His bottom teeth are already crowded. At his next dental appointment they'll look at the teeth he has lost and determine which ones to pull to make space for his adult teeth. Then once to adult teeth are coming in some of those will have to come out as well because they just won't all fit. THEN braces. I feel awful because I went through all of that. =(

This doggy...

is driving my insane. She's been shedding a lot more than usual. I clean the floors at least three times a day. I thought that maybe it was just because it's hot out so she's shedding her extra fur. Then she started scratching like crazy. My first thought was, "Oh no she has fleas!" but we give her flea medicine every month and I've checked her several times. No fleas. She's also only scratching her face, legs, and paws. I remembered that last year around this time she started doing the same thing. Did you know dogs can have seasonal allergies? Well they can. I really think it might just be that. I'm taking her to the vet though because her itching is getting out of control and I can tell she's not happy. Hopefully they can give her something that will help =(
